Un-conferences
The un-conference is based on an approach devised by Harrison Owen in the early 1980’s.
Open Space Technology. Owen’s methodology is the notion that although the event has a specific objective, the agenda is not pre-set allowing the participants to organise the agenda themselves in order to facilitate lively discussions and interaction between delegates. The main reason that Open Space works is because it harnesses and acknowledges the power of self-organisation, which Harrison Owen suggests is one of the most important lessons of life.
Meeting Architects. Our main role is to create the opportunity for your delegates to come together to discuss important topics. Through our consultation process we might find that some or all of the principles of Owen's un-conference model might support your objectives. You can find out more about how the process works in our Innovations and Ideas section.
Your Objectives. At FiveHats Event Management we recognise the value of helping to maintain and develop the flow of energy during the event. We encourage individual participation which serves to support innovation and to solve hard problems. Whether we do this through traditional methods or through methods such as un-conferences you can be confident that by working with FiveHats Event Managment all of your objectives will be met.
